Cleavers is an herbaceous annual, part of the Rubiaceae family. Native to Great Britian and North America. Historically, cleavers was called ‘bedstraw’ because it was once used for stuffing mattresses.

Cleavers is a green, creeping vine-like plant with tiny hairs on its stems and leaves that cling to everything and anything it brushes up against. It is known to be a bitter lymphatic herb- helping stimulate the lymphatic system. Externally, cleavers is said to help reduce skin irritation and inflammation.

All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
