Comfrey is a perennial plant part of the Boraginaceae family. It is native to Europe, but now naturalized across the globe. Comfrey has large, hairy, elongated leaves that come to a point at the end. The bell-like flowers can range in color from pink to white to even purple.
Comfrey has been used for centuries for healing injuries. The plant contains a multitude of vitamins and minerals. Allantoin can also be found within comfrey, which is said to help stimulate cell growth and regeneration. Comfrey is said to help reduce inflammation and help promote quick cell turnover to heal skin and external injuries
