Elder Flower, organic
Sambuccus or Elder is a perennial shrub that can grow up to 10-12 feet tall. The flowers are white and contain 5 petals that grow within clusters.
Elder is native to Europe, North America and Southwest Asia. Elderflower have always had a long history of use in traditional European medicine. Today the flowers are sometimes used as a diaphoretic. It is said to also help aid in perspiration, and reduces inflammation. It is also said that the flowers hold anti-viral properties. Topically the flower can be used in creams and lotions and also adds a pleasant floral flavor to teas, honeys, ales, meads and other alcohol

How We Use
We like to use dried Elderflowers to spruce up tea blends. We also love infusing the blossoms into honey or making elderflower cordial drinks!
All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
