St. John’s Wort is a perennial that is Native to Europe, but now naturalized in temperate climates around the world. It is part of the Hypericaceae family. It grows in meadows, garden borders and along roadsides. It has star-shaped flowers that are yellow. The tops of the plant with the flowers are traditionally harvested towards the middle of summer to fall.
Back during the middle ages St. John’s Wort was considered an holy herb, that was revered to help protect people against curses, spells and demons. Today, St. John's Wort is said to help balance emotions, and help anxiety and depression. Externally the plant is anti-inflammatory, and has wonderful healing properties. It helps heal wounds, burns, bruises and even varicose veins

All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
