THINK SPRING!
Stinging Nettle is a dioecious, herbaceous perennial. The leaves are strongly serrated and the stems wiry with tiny hairs covering the whole plant that cause a stinging effect. This herb has been used worldwide for centuries, in a variety of countries. People used to use the fibers of Nettle to weave into cloth. Nettle fibers were considered to be of higher quality than that of flax or hemp in Northern Europe.
This herb is known to be rich in vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium. Nettle is a super nourishing herb that helps build healthy blood, bones and joints. It is also known to be a great remedy for anemia, low blood pressure and general weakness; also said to hold anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties. Externally, the live plant is known to help with arthritic conditions, and can help increase blood flow and mobility to the affected area and even reduce inflammation and pain.

We like to use dried Stinging Nettle in tea blends to help replenish essential vitamins and minerals in the body. It is also a great herb to tincture in vinegar or alcohol!
