THINK SPRING!
A North American native plant, blue vervain has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries. The leaves and flowers can be decocted, infused, or tinctured.
Blue vervain’s delicate, spiky purple-blue flowers sit atop tall stems and add beauty and height to a native perennial border, as well as attract a bevy of smaller beneficial insects. Considered a wonderful nervine, it has been been used in remedies and blends to relieve tension, stress, anxiety, pms, and migraines.
Precautions: if using while pregnant, do not take in large doses–may cause nausea, vomiting*
Dried Blue Vervain Leaf & Flower
1 oz is approximately 32 teaspoon servings
We like to use dried Blue Vervain in our tea blends as a relaxing nervine combined with other herbs such as skullcap, chamomile and even ashwagandha. It is also a great herb to tincture fresh or dried!
