THINK SPRING!
Echinacea is a herbaceous perennial native to North America. This plant was extensively used by Native Americans for centuries. They used Echinacea for a variety of ailments ranging from skin bruising and swelling to distemper in horses.
This plant is considered a cone flower. Echinacea has beautiful violet petals with spiny seed heads. It can grow up to 3-4 feet tall, and it attracts many pollinators!
Externally Echinacea is used to help heal bug bites, stings, or infected wounds. Internally it is used known to be used to treat colds and flus and can potentially help strengthen the lymphatic system.
No known precautions, but people allergic to members of the Asteraceae family should use caution*
