Elecampane is a perennial native to Europe, Northwestern India and Western Asia. It can grow up to 6-8 feet tall and has large pointed green leaves. The flowers are yellow and daisy-like. The roots are quite large and very aromatic. This perennial attracts many pollinators and wildlife.
This herb has been traditionally used in herbalism since the age of ancient Greece. It was known to supposedly enhance psychic abilities. Today, it is usually used as a remedy to clear phlegm and mucus from the lungs, urinary tract and digestive system. It is also said to help with chronic recurrent infections and irritations of the lungs

We like to use Elecampane root in decoctions to help clear out phlegm and mucus or respiratory infections.
All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
