THINK SPRING!
Lavender is an aromatic perennial, evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean. It has woody stems that bear purple flowers that bloom from late spring to early autumn. This herb goes back thousands of years, with the first recorded uses were by ancient Egyptians during the mummification process. The ancient Greeks and Romans used lavender in cooking, for bathing and they even made it into perfumes.
Lavender is known to be a relaxing nervine, that is said to ease tension, stress and anxiety. It's scent lifts the spirits and calms the mind. It is said to have a mild analgesic effect that may help with headaches and migraines. Externally lavender may be used to help treat antifungal infections and can help soothe stings and burns.
We like to use dried Lavender in herbal sachets, that you leave under your pillow to help promote better sleep. It is also a wonderful addition to tea blends!
All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
